Approach + Experience
I bring over 15 years of experience as a web and print designer to higher-education, non-profit, and corporate clients. My experience, coupled with my collaborative approach to design, has helped me create long lasting relationships with some of the area’s prominent institutions and up-and-coming companies.

Along with a high level of technical expertise for web development and print production, clients rely on my creative approach to problem solving. I believe that design needs to be based on audience needs while balancing practicality and usefulness with creativity and innovation. I strive to make all of my work not only meet specific marketing objectives, but leave a positive and lasting impression.

I understand that design is subjective and I like to collaborate with clients and other creative partners in working toward the final product. The process is often as interesting as the solution and there is much to be learned along the way by everyone involved.

I work hard to stay current in the latest design media and techniques. It’s fascinating to expand an initial design into another form of media; for example, taking a printed piece and breathing new life into it on the web, or raising it to new heights on a tradeshow floor.

My education has been devoted to design, from my undergraduate experience as a fine art major to attaining a doctorate in communications design. In the workforce I've had the pleasure of being a graphic artist, web and print designer, creative director, assistant professor, and entrepreneur.
